Hey Mommy, Look!
I am a mommy of two beautiful daughters, Sophee, 2 and McKenzee, 1. Three words to describe them are fun, energetic and loving. The past two years, my mommy life has been filled with so many moments that have shaped me as a mom. My girls do and say things that make me laugh, cry and/or amaze me. I decided to put these moments to words in this blog, to share with you. Happy reading!

Bye!
McKenzee loves to wave by when she is leaving your presence. Today I told her to go with Sophee and play in the room. She gets off the bed and says "bye" and waves her hand. I wanted to video record it, but of course when I want her to do she doesn't say anything...lol!

Cool shades!
McKenzee had Sophee's sunglasses and she brought them to me. I put them on her and she gave me this big smile! I had to take a picture because she looked so darn cute! Yes, I am biased a little ...lol!
Blastoff!
Sophee and McKenzee was listening to me read a numbers book. Sophee was reading the numbers 1 to 10. One part of the book has the numbers go backwards, so she read those numbers backwards and after she got to 1 she said "blastoff!" Caught me off guard and was very funny!

Hoptoch mommy!
I made this hop scotch on my deck with sidewalk chalk. Sophee calls it "Hoptoch"-- gotta love it! She can't hop on one foot yet, so I had her jump to each number in order 1 to 10 or I call out a number and she runs to it! I always loved doing hopscotch at school when I was a little girl and I am happy she loves it too! I am always thinking of ways to fit in using large motor skills and this a great way!

Shapes, shapes, and more shapes
I am always looking for ways to teach Sophee, but in a fun, quick way. I bought some construction paper and cut out shapes (circles, squares, rectangles, diamond, hearts, stars, ovals and triangles). I love this because I have many shapes in variety of colors. I had her sort the shapes by shape (next time I will do color), but I would hold a shape and ask what color and she says it! It was funny, I would pick a square and say it was a circle and she would correct me and say "hmmm no mommy" with her finger on her chin and say "it is "sware". After sorting, she made a picture and I helped her glue down the shapes! She wanted to keep doing more and I love knowing that she enjoyed it! This activity took under 15 minutes and eventually she can do it by herself!
